Roasted chestnuts with minced garlic


12 chestnuts

2 tablespoon minced garlic

5 red chilies, chopped

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon white sugar

1/2 teaspoon cumin powder

1 tablespoon sliced green onion

2 tablespoons vegetable oil


1. Heat a skillet over high heat, pour vegetable oil in the skillet, pour garlic and red chilies in the skillet, stir until fragrant, pour soy sauce, salt, and white sugar in the skillet, stir until even, turn off the heat, set aside


2. Trim and rinse the chestnuts


3. Fill each chestnut with the garlic mixture


4. Top each chestnut with cumin powder


5. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper, put the chestnuts on the baking sheet, preheat the oven to 200 °C, put the baking sheet in the oven, roast for about 8 minutes


6. Take out the baking sheet, sprinkle the chestnuts with green onion


7. Serve
