Matcha Madeleine cakes


1 egg

40 grams butter

50 grams cake flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

35 grams white sugar

1 teaspoon matcha powder


1. Melt the butter in a double boiler, set aside


2. Crack the egg in a mixing bowl


3. Pour white sugar in the mixing bowl, mix until the white sugar is fully dissolved


4. Sift cake flour, baking powder, and matcha powder in the mixing bowl, mix until even


5. Pour butter in the mixing bowl


6. Mix until even and smooth, put the mixing bowl in the refrigerator to refrigerate for 1 hour


7. Take out the mixing bowl, mix until even


8. Fill a pastry bag with the batter


9. Squeeze the batter in the Madeleine cake pan


10. Preheat the oven to 160 °C, put the Madeleine cake pan in the oven, bake for 15 minutes


11. Take out the Madeleine cake pan from the oven, remove the cakes from the cake pan, done
