Braised crawfishes


1500 grams crawfish

200 gram barbecue sauce

500 grams beer

2 green peppers, sliced

2 cups vegetable oil

1 scallion, sliced

1 piece ginger, sliced

3 garlic cloves, sliced

1 star anise

2 bay leaves

3 dried red chilies, sliced

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 small bunch green onion, sliced

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons white sugar

1 teaspoon salt


1. Brush the crawfishes, rinse


2. Devein the crawfishes


3. Heat a skillet over high heat, pour vegetable oil in the skillet


4. Heat the oil until almost smoking, add the crawfishes in the skillet


5. Fry for 12 seconds, until the crawfishes are red, take out


6. Heat a fry pan over high heat, pour some vegetable oil in the fry pan, add the scallion, ginger, garlic, bay leaves, star anise, dried red chilies, green onions, and black peppers in the fry pan, stir until fragrant


7. Add the barbecue sauce in the fry pan, stir until even


8. Add the crawfishes in the fry pan, stir for 2 minutes


9. Pour beer in the fry pan


10. Add soy sauce and white sugar in the fry pan, season with salt


11. Bring to a boil, boil for 5 - 8 minutes


12. Drop the green peppers in the fry pan, boil for about 1 minute


13. Serve
