Steamed black sesame buns


300 grams all purpose flour

3 grams yeast

150 grams roasted black sesame seed, mashed

20 grams lard oil

30 grams white sugar


1. Add flour, yeast, and 1 teaspoon white sugar in a large bowl, mix until even


2. Add some water in the bowl, mix until even, knead, roll the dough into a ball, cover the bowl with plastic wrap, set aside to rise, until doubled in size


3. Add white sugar, black sesame seeds, and lard oil in a small bowl, mix until even


4. Roll gently the dough to remove air bubbles


5. Divide the dough into some small pieces


6. Roll each piece into a ball, roll each ball until thin and round


7. Put some black sesame seed mixture in the center of each dough


8. Fold each dough, pinch until firmed, roll each bun into a ball


9. Put the buns in the steamer, set aside to rise, until doubled in size


10. Steam the buns for 10 minutes, turn off the heat, simmer for 5 minutes


11. Take out the buns, serve
