Fried twisted green onion bread


300 grams all purpose flour

1 small bunch green onion

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

1/2 teaspoon mixed spice

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 grams yeast


1. Add flour and yeast in a large bowl, add some water in the bowl, mix until even, knead, roll the dough into a ball, cover the bowl with plastic wrap, set aside to rise for 20 minutes, until doubled in size


2. Slice the green onions, put the green onions in a bowl, pour vegetable oil in the bowl, mix until even


3. Roll gently the dough to remove air bubbles


4. Roll down the dough into a thin rectangle, sprinkle the rectangle with salt, mixed spice, and green onions


5. Roll up the rectangle into a rope


6. Slice crosswise the rope into some small rolls


7. Press each roll with a stick


8. Stretch and twist each roll


9. Grease the fry pan with vegetable oil, lay the fry pan with the twisted rolls


10. Set aside to rise, until doubled in size, heat the fry pan over low heat, fry until the bottom of the rolls is golden


11. Add some water in the fry pan


12. Cover the fry pan with the lid


13. Fry until the bottom of the rolls are golden brown


14. Serve
