Spiced peanut salad


200 grams peanut kernel

1 green bell pepper

1 red pepper

1 shallot

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 star anise

1 small bunch green onion

1 piece ginger, sliced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon white sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon sesame oil


1. Soak the peanut kernels for a night


2. Rinse the soaked peanut kernels, drop in a stew pan, add the green onion and ginger in the stew pan, pour some water in the stew pan


3. Add the black peppers and star anise in the stew pan


4. Add some salt in the stew pan


5. Heat the stew pan over high heat


6. Bring to a boil, continue to boil for 10 minutes, turn off the heat


7. Dice the green bell pepper, red pepper, and shallot, slice the garlic


8. Put the boiled peanut kernels in a large bowl


9. Add the red pepper, green bell pepper, shallot, and garlic in the bowl


10. Add white sugar in the bowl, season with salt


11. Pour soy sauce in the bowl


12. Add the sesame oil in the bowl


13. Mix until even


14. Serve
